The Financial Statement is required for international undergraduate applicants who live outside the U.S. and those living in the U.S. with a valid visa. International students not requesting need-based financial aid must demonstrate ability to finance their education at Rice; those requesting need-based financial aid must provide information about their family financial status. Whether applying for need-based aid or not, all international applicants must complete this Financial Statement and supply the appropriate supporting documentation (in English and converted to U.S. dollars).
To prepare for completing the required Financial Statement, you will need:
A total of personal, family or sponsor’s funds available to go toward your total cost of attendance, along with all supporting bank statements or affidavits.
A total of any scholarship funds available to go toward your total cost of attendance, along with all supporting award letters or documentation.
If the total sum of available funds is below $70,000, an additional explanation of how you plan to meet the required cost of attendance throughout your time at Rice.
You’ll find the form in your Rice Admission Student Portal after you submit the application. Your application will not be complete until this form and all required documentation are submitted via your Rice Admission Student Portal.
