  • Not only is Romanticism a historical period, it is also an idea that has shaped our contemporary world. In the course Romanticism: Ruins, Race, Revolution taught by the Department of English in the School of Humanities, the three core concepts of Romanticism are examined through the study of texts and visual art. By looking at novels, poems, philosophy, history, paintings and film from the eighteenth century through present day, students discover how ruins, race and revolutions have been central to the formation of key concepts such as love, longing, beauty, justice and equality in our lives.

  • Go on a culinary journey with Naman and Devika as they give you an insider's look at CHEM 178: The Chemistry of Cooking. Co-taught by Dr. Lesa Tran Lu and Chef Johnny Curet, this unique class examines the chemistry involved in the composition, transformation and consumption of food.

  • Innovative, high-growth startups in the clean energy transition and high-tech space came onto Rice Campus, eager to tap into the talent pool of current Owls. The Liu Idea Lab for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (LILIE) hosted a Startup Job & Internship Fair in partnership with the Center of Career Development. Follow along as Anya Y.
