At Rice, the residential college system forms the backbone of our unique student experience. Not only is getting involved with your residential college an incredibly rewarding experience, it also provides an opportunity to connect with and contribute to your community. At Rice, all enrolled students are welcome to participate in the Intramural (IM) Sports program, which includes residential college sports and club sports. With over 15 different sports options, Rice Owls can play anything from flag football to innertube water polo! Playing an IM sport is a great way to meet students from other residential colleges, graduate students, and Rice faculty and staff!

Navya (Jones '27), a sophomore majoring in social sciences, recently took on the role of student advisor for Orientation Week. O-Week advisors help new students transition smoothly to life at Rice. From serving on the hype squad to helping out with course registration, our student advisors are the perfect introduction to the culture of care that Rice is known for!
