What a year 2021 has been for our Rice Owls! From football games to excursions off campus, our students have spent the semester happy to be back on campus with the rest of the Rice community. We’ve pulled together just a few of our favorite highlights - take a look back to see how students have connected with each other throughout the fall semester.
At Rice, our undergraduate students have the freedom to combine interests and create their own academic paths. Zack, a junior from Jones College, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science degree while also working two different research positions!
At Rice, all enrolled students are welcome to participate in the Intramural (IM) Sports program, which includes residential college sports and club sports. With over 15 different sports options, Rice Owls can play anything from flag football to innertube water polo! Playing an IM sport is a great way to meet students from other residential colleges, graduate students, and Rice faculty and staff!
Rice University kicked off the start of Latine Heritage Month with food and festivities! Berny (McMurtry ‘26) shares how Rice students celebrate the history, contributions and achievements of Latino/a/e/x communities during this very special month.
