  • Students enjoy the Holiday Lights Ride hosted by Rice Bikes
    Rice Students ride through the popular River Oaks district and enjoy the festive holiday lights set up throughout the neighborhood.

  • Students hang onto the giant metal horseshoe that is hung during Duncbarn
    During "Duncstep", not only is the Duncan commons transformed with the help of a giant metal horse shoe, but students dress up to fit the part as well!
  • Duncan students attend Duncstep, where they renovate Duncan commons into DuncBarn and learn to two-step
    At the end of Duncan Week, the Duncan commons is renovated into “DuncBarn” where students can learn to two-step.
  • Duncan student participates in their semi-annual nerf war called Donnybrook
    Students kick off Duncan Week with their semi-annual nerf war hosted in Donnybrook, the popular Duncan commons.
  • Students at McMurtry college learn to make kilts and help their fellow students out on McScottish Night
    Students celebrate McScottish night by learning to make kilts and enjoying a fun-filled night full of themed activities!
  • Students of McMurtry College are learning a traditional Scottish dance together during McScottish night, celebrating McMurtry's Scottish Heritage.

    It's spooky season! Rice students got to paint their own pumpkin to decorate their room and get into the fall spirit.

    Students took advantage of Wellbeing Wednesdays at Rice's Holistic Garden, where they got to unplug, pot a few plants and learn about mindfulness.

    There's no party like a pizza party! Students from McMurtry (Murts) took a study break to chow down on some pizza after class.

    Participating in cultural events such as this one hosted in honor of Filipino American History Month means students get to learn and take a break from classes at the same time!
