EXPLORE LIFE AT RICE

What if you could get a first-hand
look at life at Rice

  • It's Pride Month, and Rice University is so excited we participated in Houston's first Pride Parade since 2019! Check out some photos of students, alumni, faculty and staff walking in the parade and celebrating the diversity of Rice's LGBTQIA+ community.

  • Rice Taiwanese Association presents the 2022 Night Market! Learn more about how this fun event brings students together in this recap.

  • We not only celebrate, but actively seek out broad diversity across our student body as a central and meaningful part of the student experience at Rice University, which includes support for making the transition to campus. Check out these resources we've compiled for Black students coming to Rice.

  • Learn more about Rediscovery, the Spring 2022 show from Rice Dance Theatre, from two of our students.

  • Student groups come in all shapes and sizes at Rice University, and we wanted to spotlight one type: activities that benefit the community and help spread awareness! Read more about a few ways that Rice Owls advocate for change in the Rice community and beyond.

  • Grace W., Baker '23, got the chance to go to Zoo Lights, a holiday-themed nighttime event at the Houston Zoo. Read her recap of the experience.

  • Did you know that some of the people that work for the Office of Admission are also Rice University alumni? We love their passion for both recruiting students and for Rice, so we asked all of them to share their favorite Rice memories.
